I am a small animal veterinarian and work exclusively with dogs and cats in Washington D. C. at Friendship Hospital for Animals. I have been a veterinarian for 17 years and am boarded in canine and feline practice by the American Board of Veterinary Medical Practitioners. Almost everyday I am asked a question abut a pet. I created this site during the COVID-19 pandemic to help answer questions I receive all the time.
The demand for veterinary care sky-rocketed during the pandemic As a result it has become challenging to get an appointment in a timely manner to evaluate a problem or for a routine visit. This site is intended to equip pet owners with a better understanding of their pet’s health, provide options for problems that might be managed at home, and help an owner understand what to expect on a trip to the vet.
